Kaleb was nominated by his history teacher at school to go to the National Youth Leadership Conference held in DC. We were so excited that was last fall, the confernce seemed like for ever away. But as you know time flys and before I new it I was sending my 16 almost 17 year old son across the country(By himself). GULP! No other kids from his school were able to go. So off he went. Of course he loved it. Kaleb is my BIG city kid, the bigger the better for him. The conference was so much fun they were taught about leadership and goverment, the had alot of speakers who had amazing stories to tell them. They got to tour DC they saw Capitol building, all the memorials, the Smithsonian. The met with our states congressmen. (Utahs were all away-DARN). He met alot of new friends from around the country. What a experience, I know he has memories he'll never forget. A trip of a life time.

Until you have a Wrestler in your life you have no idea how much hard work emotion goes into wrestling. It is truely a FAMILY affair. Jed is so passionate about wrestling and is so PROUD of his boys. The emotions cant help but come bubbling up.

No I havent fallen off the face of the earth but almost. I almost forgot how to blog its been so long but after you I catch up on my last few months it all make since. Where do I start. As I mentioned before WRESTLING is a major part of our lifes and Its also during the busy time of the year. Kalebs season had a few bumps. He sarted off weighting 130 and was on the right track but during the Christmas break he started to grow and gained 15-19 pounds. Thats a major problem for wrestlers. So he had to jump up to the weight above 135. So after a major adjustments he was off any running. Kaleb season record was 39 wins-8 loses. Thats pretty awesome. He won the 5A Regoin tournament and placed at all the tournaments his team went to. He place 4th in the State tournament which was awesome. He went to the Rocky Mountain National Tournament and places 5th (In the 18 and under division). We are so proud of him.
Branson season was also amazing his record was 55wins-12loses. He went to 7 YES 7 National Tournaments. We took him to Fresco Calforina, Denver Co twice, Reno Nv, Phoenix AZ, and two Utah tournaments. That was a great learning experience for Branson. He placed any where from 1st to 6th. Branson won the Junior High State Tornament for the 3rd year in a row. We couldnt be more proud of his amazing work ethic and his dedication to the sport he is so passionate about.

Kaleb and this kid wrestle so hard! But Kaleb always gets him.. Kaleb beat him this match in over time. Then we got him again at region.. REGION CHAMP!!!

Branson is all business. He takes his sport very serious. He's so much like his dad its scary.
